Curriculum Support

Comprehensive Gulf curriculum support — grades 1 through 6

Is it hard for your child to keep up with the school week—or do you need steady help with homework and revision without every evening turning into stress?

At Al-Jahiz Academy we support Gulf families with live online lessons: calm teaching that matches your child’s grade and school materials, strengthening Arabic, English, and the skills their subjects demand—without random extra worksheets on top of real school load.

What this program gives your family

Many children in the GCC juggle full school days and demanding materials in both Arabic and English. We close the gap between class pace and what your child needs at home: clear explanation, homework support, and steady practice—so school feels more achievable, not more stressful.

What support includes

We align with your child’s textbook and weekly school plan, focusing on both languages and the core subjects most Gulf systems expect at primary level.

Arabic language English language Mathematics Science Social studies Islamic education

We follow what your child’s school actually teaches: grade level, textbook or program name, and the language of instruction for each subject. If you want a deeper math-only track as well, we coordinate that through our math page or during registration.

How we deliver it

  • Clear explanations that re-frame the idea when class moves too fast
  • Steady help with daily homework and worksheets
  • Quiz and exam preparation without turning every night into pressure
  • Ongoing revision that builds understanding—not last-minute cramming

Gulf school weeks, in context

There is no single “Gulf curriculum” in the same package everywhere: each country has its own approved frameworks, and schools choose different books, grades, and tracks. We build each child’s support around the grade, textbook, and path their own school is using—national, international, or bilingual—not a generic one-size file for “Gulf” as a block.

  • Weekly timetables often mix subjects in Arabic with subjects in English. Some children follow two “lanes” in the same year—more Arabic in one set of classes and more English in another—which is tiring even when the child is bright.
  • When science, math, or other areas are taught in English at school while the rest of the day stays in Arabic (or the opposite), the child needs both Arabic and English to feel steady at home, not a pile of extra worksheets. We work from the real topics and materials you can share (photos of the book, the weekly plan, and so on).
  • We align core subjects with your child’s textbook and grade, with extra depth in Arabic and English where most daily gaps show up. A dedicated math-only track is also available and can be folded into the plan during registration.

How we work

A clear path from first contact to weekly support:

1

Initial needs check

We listen to your school context and subjects, and note where your child needs direct help.

2

Strengths and focus areas

We set realistic priorities that fit both school and home—not an impossible checklist.

3

A tailored support plan

We agree on a weekly rhythm that complements class time, with a group fit for age and learning style.

4

Live weekly sessions

Interactive teaching, homework tied to the school book, and revision that builds progress step by step.

5

Regular parent updates

What improved, what to reinforce at home, and what comes next—in plain language.

Arabic curriculum support

We support children who take Arabic as a school subject and families who also want to strengthen heritage and literacy. Sessions follow the skills your child needs for school: reading, writing, spelling, and expression—explained at a level they can actually use during the week.

  • We align with your child’s school textbook, units, and weekly topics so online support matches what they see in class.
  • Homework help, worksheets, and revision before quizzes and tests—without turning every evening into a battle.
  • When the lesson moves fast, we re-teach the idea in calmer, age-appropriate language.
  • We balance reading, writing, and expression alongside what the teacher expects, not in place of it.
  • Small groups (1–6) or more focused options when a child needs extra room to ask questions.
  • We emphasize understanding, application, and confidence—not memorization for its own sake.
  • We share clear, regular updates for parents: what improved, what to reinforce at home, and what to watch next.

English for children (from beginner level)

For families who want English beyond the school week—or a full path starting from zero—we build listening, speaking, reading, and writing in live, structured lessons. Nothing is “obvious” for a child: we start where they are and move step by step.

  • No prior English required; we can begin from the very beginning when that is what your child needs.
  • A placement-style check at the start so the level fits—not too easy, not overwhelming.
  • Letters and sounds, vocabulary, short sentences, age-appropriate texts, and light grammar in context.
  • Interactive games, visuals, screen sharing, and a virtual whiteboard so learning stays active, not passive.
  • We grow listening, pronunciation, and the confidence to speak in front of a teacher and peers.
  • A solid foundation for international schools, exams later on, and everyday confidence in English.

What you get with this support

  • Teachers who understand Gulf curricula and bilingual school patterns
  • Live online lessons with real interaction—not passive recordings
  • Small groups, or closer attention when your child needs more space to ask questions
  • Patient pacing and explanations matched to age and confidence
  • Careful tracking of progress with honest communication to parents

What steady support tends to unlock

  • Deeper lesson understanding and clearer links between class topics
  • Noticeable gains in consistency and grades where that applies
  • Homework completed with more confidence and fewer nightly battles
  • Greater self-confidence in Arabic and English at school and home

Session rhythm & format

Lessons are live online. A typical plan is two sessions per week, 40 minutes each, in a small group—unless we agree on a different setup for your child. We try to line up the pace and scheduling with the school week and your family’s routine, not add another full-time job on top of school.

Who this is for

  • Students in grades 1–6 following Gulf schools—national, international, or bilingual tracks
  • Families who want steady support with school Arabic, homework, and reading–writing skills
  • Parents who want English to grow on purpose—from beginner to stronger communication—not only what fits between other activities
  • Children who need step-by-step help after a learning gap or a harder term
  • Children who are tired at the end of a long day and need patient explanation, not more pressure at home
  • Parents who want peace of mind with clear reporting and guidance

Why our follow-up feels different

We do not only summarize the lesson—we build bridges between the classroom and what your child needs at home.

  • Real follow-up on homework and deadlines, not a parallel program detached from class
  • Steady parent communication through reports and practical recommendations
  • Each child treated as their own case—not one rigid template for everyone
  • A supportive learning tone that protects enthusiasm and dignity

A clear first step with you

We welcome families with an upfront, transparent start:

  • A welcome chat or trial lesson, depending on what we agree together
  • An initial placement-style check so group and plan fit your child

We limit group size to protect quality and interaction; registration follows available seats.

How to get started

  • Message us (form or WhatsApp) with your country, grade, subject names you care about, and the textbook or publisher name if you have it (that detail speeds things up).
  • We have a short conversation to understand the school system, the textbook or program, and your goals.
  • We place your child in a suitable small group and agree on a weekly schedule that the family can sustain.

We believe every child has the right to learn their mother tongue and keep up with a serious education, even far from the country of origin—without losing warmth, clarity, or respect for the child’s energy.

Together we can carry the school journey with more clarity and care.
